It introduces the knowledge and skills necessary to: identify symptoms of common coffee equipment malfunctions, perform simple troubleshooting to diagnose their causes, complete common repairs safely and effectively, and adjust key coffee equipment operating parameters.\u003cbr\u003eAt the end of the course, the learner will be able to:\u003cbr\u003e•Describe key coffee equipment systems and circuits.\u003cbr\u003e•Explain the anatomy and function of common espresso machine, batch brewer, and coffee grinder components.\u003cbr\u003e•List common mechanical and electrical failure modes of components and systems.\u003cbr\u003e•Describe common indicators of hydraulic and electrical system failures.\u003cbr\u003e•Demonstrate steps commonly used to safely troubleshoot malfunctioning systems.\u003cbr\u003e•Demonstrate the safe replacement or rebuilding of coffee equipment components.\u003cbr\u003e•Identify hydraulic fittings and fasteners commonly used on\/in coffee equipment components.\u003cbr\u003e•Identify electrical connectors and conductors commonly used on\/in coffee equipment components.\u003cbr\u003e•Demonstrate measurement, calibration, and adjustment of coffee equipment operating parameters.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e\u003cbr\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cul\u003e\u003c\/ul\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e\u003cb\u003eThis is a full 9 hour a day (5 day) class.
